NAME: Buffy Summers
FANDOM: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
TIMELINE PERIOD: End of Season 7
BACKGROUND: Buffy was born into a privilaged life, with two parents who loved her very much. She was a spoiled child who grew up to become a bratty cheerleader in a Los Angeles area high school. Buffy was the school's Queen Bee, and lived up to the title of being a mean girl. She was an airhead, caring more about makeup and boys than school. However, things drastically changed for Buffy when a man named Merrick approached Buffy and claimed her to be a Vampire Slayer. Buffy was quick to dismiss the man and his theory, until she was thrust into a situation involving a master vampire. In the end, Buffy accepted her role as a vampire slayer, killed the master vampire, and ended up setting her school's gym ablaze in the process. Needless to say, Buffy was expelled from her school. Shortly after this incident, her parents divorced, and Buffy's life shattered even further.
She and her mother Joyce moved to a town called Sunnydale, where Buffy figured she could escape the whole vampire slayer thing. She was wrong, however, as a man named Giles quickly found her, and assumed the role of her watcher. At first, Buffy was upset about her destiny finding her. But eventually, she assumed the role, and trained with Giles. She made fast friends with Willow Rosenburg and Xander Harris, two individuals who remain her friends for life. Buffy, Giles, and her friends form a group known as the Scoobies and defeat various demons and monsters during high school and even after. Through Buffy's time in college, and even after she drops out, her friends are there to support and help her in her neverending job as the slayer.
She has died twice, and been brought back to life both times. She has been in honest love only twice in her lifetime, both times with vampires. The men she loves most are the ones that she's supposed to destroy. It used to bother her, but she's alright with that now. Although she started out as an angsty and awkward teenager, she has become a strong and capable woman. She prefers to bear the weight of the world on her own shoulders so that others don't have to. She is very self sacrificing, to the point that she hides things that make her happy, as she's embarassed by the fact she's happy when she's in a position to be serious all the time. She believes that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, but she can be a hypocrite in this. If the need of the many involve harming her younger sister, or someone she deeply loves, she's not going to go with that. She is fiercely loyal and protective of those she loves, to the point where she will kill someone if it means keeping them safe. While she dislikes crime and doesn't condone it, she has committed acts of criminal activity that she describes as "victimless". If no one is getting hurt, then she doesn't mind doing it , if she has to. She is a very quirky woman who has a morbid sense of humor, and isn't bothered by the darker things in life. She prefers to be around the more macabre things, as she feels right at home.
Buffy isn't someone that you want to piss off. If you hurt someone close to her, she will hunt you down, and proceed to inflict a great deal of harm upon you. Due to her being the slayer, she possesses superhuman abilities. She has incredible speed, agility, stregnth, reflexes, durability, and accelerated healing. These things were all born to her, they are abilities that only Buffy and other vampire slayers possess. Buffy is unique among the slayers, as she also possesses the ability to have prophetic dreams. She cannot control when she has these dreams, however, and these dreams generally make her on edge and diminish her mental state for a short time. Having all of these abilities has made Buffy feel as if she isn't human, as if she is stuck in between something unnatural and mortal. She is jealous of the life her friends get to live, but wouldn't trade hers for the world. Despite how hard her life can be, she's used to it, and likes being able to save the day. She just wishes that she could get past her hero status and have a normal relationship for once. She's pretty much accepted the fact that isn't going to happen, however.
NOTES: Buffy's abilities are innate, they do not come from any magical or external source. I'm assuming that because of this, she will be able to keep them, but they will be diluted.
